Commissioning Coordinator (Instrumentation)

Role Overview

Location and Schedule

• Base location is Doha headquarters with site visits; the work includes offshore facilities and contractor marine spreads.
• Working schedule is five days per week for eight to nine hours per day.
• Start date is negotiable, typically subject to one month's notice.

Qualification and Experience

• Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• Extensive commissioning experience on offshore oil and gas facilities with exposure to construction activities is required.
• At least 10 years of oil and gas pre-commissioning and commissioning experience is required.
• Exposure to commissioning database software, Commissioning and Operational Readiness Software, and specifications is requested.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and telecom commissioning is required.
• Good commissioning management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills are required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise contractor and subcontractor pre-commissioning and commissioning work at company facilities and offshore marine spreads.
• Act as the company representative offshore for project pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Prepare work permits and ensure compliance with company e-PTW requirements.
• Attend daily planning meetings, report progress and constraints, and coordinate personnel and material movement.
• Liaise with HSEQ personnel and monitor construction, installation, and commissioning against approved procedures and AFC drawings.
• Review contractor plans, schedules, procedures, and JSAs.
• Inspect mechanical completion, identify punch-list items, and coordinate their clearance with construction supervisors.
• Coordinate site acceptance tests, loop checks, vendor visits, on-job training, and commissioning of critical equipment.
• Prepare commissioning plans, system and subsystem breakdowns, handover checklists, and certificates.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to resolve system or equipment performance problems.
• Provide daily progress reports to Head Commissioning and Logistics and the project team.
• Support Qatari development through job training and development for Qatari nationals.
