Job Summary

  • The Commis – Khaleeji is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Khaleeji cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen organization.
  • The role supports the culinary team in delivering consistent dishes and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and cooking traditional Khaleeji dishes such as machboos, harees, madrooba, saloona, thareed, grilled meats, seafood, and regional desserts.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, marinating, measuring, and organizing mise en place.
  • Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure food is prepared according to quality, taste, and portion standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Store food properly and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
  • Monitor food stock and report shortages or spoilage to senior chefs.
  • Assist with receiving and checking deliveries.
  • Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health regulations.
  • Support senior chefs during busy service periods.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation.
  • Participate in daily cleaning and kitchen closing procedures.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a Khaleeji, Arabic, or Middle Eastern kitchen.
  • Basic knowledge of traditional Gulf cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

  • Knowledge of Khaleeji ingredients, spices, and cooking methods.
  • Basic knife skills and food preparation techniques.
  • Time management and organizational skills.

Pay

  • AED 2,800.00 per month
