Job Description
The role supports daily kitchen mise en place, food preparation, and assigned duties to meet established standards and quality requirements.
The position contributes to guest service by supporting kitchen operations and consistent food quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily kitchen operations.
- Work according to instructions from supervisors.
- Maintain the work area in hygienic condition according to hotel rules.
- Control food stock and food cost in the assigned section.
- Prepare daily mise en place and food production across main kitchen or satellite sections.
- Follow instructions from immediate supervisors to complete daily tasks.
- Maintain consistent quality in daily food preparation.
- Coordinate with other sections on cleanliness, wastage, requirements, and cost control.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Professional chef training course is required.
- Previous experience in a quality establishment and good culinary skills are required.
- Knowledge of food preparation and preservation is essential.
- Ability to communicate in English is essential.
