Role Overview
The Commis II supports savoury food production while assisting the pastry team with basic pastry and bakery preparation when required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare savoury food and assist with mise en place and daily production.
- Maintain food quality, taste, presentation, portion control, cleanliness, and kitchen organization.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, storage, labeling, dating, and rotation procedures.
- Work with the culinary and pastry teams during routine production, events, VIP requirements, and high-volume periods.
- Develop knowledge of pastry ingredients, equipment, techniques, and standards under appropriate supervision.
Role Requirements
- Demonstrate willingness to learn pastry, bakery, desserts, and related production techniques.
- Work collaboratively with the Pastry Chef and culinary team.
- Handle ingredients correctly and minimize food waste while maintaining established standards.
