JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

To support the culinary team in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality international cuisine, ensuring adherence to global culinary standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen protocols.

The Commis Chef contributes to the smooth operation of the kitchen by assisting senior chefs, maintaining cleanliness, and demonstrating a commitment to learning and excellence in diverse culinary traditions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-4-year Culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training
  • Level 2 – HACCP

• Safe Chemical Handling (Basic Training)

  • Private chef experience in a VVIP household (recommended)
  • English Level – Written and Spoken (mandatory)
  • 3+ years’ experience working in an acclaimed 5* restaurant or hotel
  • International living and working essential

Culinary Skills

  • Proficiency in cooking techniques across a variety of international cuisines (e.g., French, Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern).
  • Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards with precision.
  • Experience with food preparation, cooking, and plating.

Kitchen Operations

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, tools, and their proper usage.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with food storage, stock rotation, and inventory control.

Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
  • Familiarity with sanitation procedures and personal hygiene protocols.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Ability to collaborate with senior chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Strong communication skills to follow instructions and relay information efficiently.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and readiness to support team needs.

Culinary Creativity & Adaptability

  • Open-minded approach to experimenting with international flavors and dishes.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods and culinary trends.
  • Ability to help with menu development and innovation.

Time Management & Efficiency

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within service time constraints.
  • Attention to detail to ensure dishes are prepared and served to the highest standards.
