About the Role
The Commis 1 - Cold Kitchen will support the preparation and presentation of cold dishes.
The role requires strong standards for food quality, hygiene, and kitchen organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare salads, cold starters, garnishes, dressings, and other cold kitchen items.
- Complete daily mise en place according to operational requirements.
- Follow approved recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Store, label, date, and rotate ingredients correctly.
- Maintain correct food temperatures and food safety practices.
- Support senior chefs during preparation and service.
- Follow HACCP, Dubai Municipality, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis 1 or in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or quality restaurant.
- Experience in cold kitchen or garde manger operations is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements is required.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail are required.
- Being currently based in the UAE is preferred.
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000 to AED 3,500 per month.
