About the Role
Accor is looking for a Commis 1 to join the kitchen team at a hotel on Al Saadiyat Island. The role requires basic overall kitchen knowledge and the ability to fill in for other chefs.

Responsibilities
- Ensure standard recipes and plating guides are followed at all times in the outlet
- Provide the Executive Sous Chef with daily market list and control goods received to guarantee quality and quantity
- Provide recipes and costing as per requirement
- Assist and propose special Food Promotions, Events and other Food related activities
- Interact and communicate with Outlet Supervisors daily and ensure food items are well explained
- Control food wastage without compromising on food quality
- Recommend changes in systems and procedures to increase efficiency and improve service levels
- Maintain records and documentation as per operational control requirements
- Maintain excellent intradepartmental communication via log books and memoranda
- Perform as per Operational Standards
- Maintain proper grooming at all times
- Attend training classes as per schedule
Requirements
- Ability, knowledge and skill to fill in for another chef when absent from another station
- Basic overall knowledge of kitchen operations
- Be proactive and use good judgement when dealing with challenging situations
- Act with professionalism and integrity
- Conduct business honestly and fairly
