About the Role
OpenText is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join its global Centre of Excellence in Dubai. The role involves outbound prospecting, inbound lead development, and opportunity progression, working with Account Executives to generate qualified pipeline.

Responsibilities
- Outbound prospecting including cold calling, emailing and social outreach into target accounts
- Work alongside Account Executives to engage prospective customers and introduce OpenText solutions
- Follow up and qualify inbound leads generated through campaigns and marketing activity
- Build understanding of customer needs and pass qualified opportunities to Account Executives
- Support early stage opportunities in partnership with Account Executives and Solution Consultants
- Maintain engagement with prospects and help move opportunities through initial stages
- Build customer relationships through consistent outreach activity across phone, email and social channels
- Identify contacts and maintain accurate data using Salesforce and research tools
- Track and manage all lead generation activity within Salesforce and Outreach using approved tools and processes
- Provide regular updates on activity and pipeline contribution

- Strong communication skills with ability to engage and build rapport with prospects

- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is beneficial but not essential

The Opportunity
- OpenText has developed global Centres of Excellence for Sales Development to support best in class cloud software technology and solutions.
- You will be joining a social, high performing team required to collaborate with peers to effectively attract and qualify prospects evaluating the purchase of OpenText solutions.
Outbound prospecting
- This role supports outbound activity including cold calling, emailing and social outreach into target accounts
- Works alongside Account Executives to engage prospective customers and introduce OpenText solutions
Inbound lead development
- Responsible for following up and qualifying inbound leads generated through campaigns and marketing activity
- Builds understanding of customer needs and passes qualified opportunities to Account Executives
Opportunity progression
- Supports early stage opportunities in partnership with Account Executives and Solution Consultants
- Maintains engagement with prospects and helps move opportunities through initial stages
Prospecting activity
- Builds customer relationships through consistent outreach activity across phone, email and social channels
