Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial lead for all third party maintenance execution activities, ensuring alignment with overall MRO business objectives
- Manage the day to day commercial oversight of maintenance events including heavy maintenance checks, component repairs, modifications, and technical support activities
- Monitor contract performance, milestones, turnaround times (TAT), and customer commitments throughout maintenance execution
- Evaluate and manage defect hours, additional work requests, variation orders, and their commercial impact
- Ensure contractual obligations, service level agreements, and commercial commitments are fulfilled
- Conduct capability and capacity assessments for new maintenance opportunities in collaboration with Production Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and CAMO teams
- Review customer work packages and engineering requests to assess operational feasibility, resource availability, and profitability
- Provide commercial recommendations regarding acceptance of new maintenance work based on financial, operational, and resource considerations
- Serve as the primary customer facing commercial representative during maintenance events
- Manage customer expectations through transparent communication, timely reporting, and proactive issue resolution
- Track maintenance event costs, revenue opportunities, and profitability throughout execution
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve operational and commercial excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent with Minimum 7 years of job related experience or High School / Diploma with Minimum 6 years of job related experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant MRO, airline maintenance, or aviation commercial experience
- Proven experience in Aircraft MRO commercial execution, maintenance coordination, production support, or maintenance contract management
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance workflows, planning processes, and MRO contract structures
- Experience managing customer relationships within an airline or MRO environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer teams
- Experience monitoring maintenance costs, man hour utilization, and commercial performance
- Excellent command of the English language

About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to join our MRO Programs Department in Qatar and lead the commercial management and execution of third party Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) contracts.
- This is a high impact opportunity for aviation professionals who possess a strong blend of MRO operational expertise, commercial acumen, and customer relationship management skills.
- In this role, you will serve as the primary commercial focal point for all active maintenance events, ensuring the successful delivery of contracted services while maintaining contract compliance, cost control, profitability, and on time performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial lead for all third party maintenance execution activities, ensuring alignment with overall MRO business objectives.
- Manage the day to day commercial oversight of maintenance events including heavy maintenance checks, component repairs, modifications, and technical support activities.
- Monitor contract performance, milestones, turnaround times (TAT), and customer commitments throughout maintenance execution.
- Evaluate and manage defect hours, additional work requests, variation orders, and their commercial impact.
- Ensure contractual obligations, service level agreements, and commercial commitments are fulfilled.
- Conduct capability and capacity assessments for new maintenance opportunities in collaboration with Production Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and CAMO teams.

- Escalate schedule deviations and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary customer facing commercial representative during maintenance events.
- Manage customer expectations through transparent communication, timely reporting, and proactive issue resolution.
- Participate in customer reviews, operational meetings, and performance discussions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent with Minimum 7 years of job related experience or High School / Diploma or equivalent Qualification with Minimum 6 years of job related experience.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant MRO, airline maintenance, or aviation commercial experience.
- Proven experience in Aircraft MRO commercial execution, maintenance coordination, production support, or maintenance contract management.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance workflows, planning processes, and MRO contract structures.
- Experience managing customer relationships within an airline or MRO environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer teams.
- Experience monitoring maintenance costs, man hour utilization, and commercial performance.
- Experience within a large airline or high volume MRO organization (preferred).
- Background in heavy maintenance (Base Maintenance), component repair, or technical services environments (preferred).
- Experience preparing business cases, cost benefit analyses, and profitability assessments (preferred).
- Exposure to contract negotiations, proposal development, or customer commercial management (preferred).
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of MRO commercial processes and aviation maintenance operations.
- Ability to interpret and execute MRO contracts, pricing models, SLAs, labor rates, and defect hour management frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer facing communication skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial decision making capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously in a fast paced operational environment.
- Leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Technical knowledge and hands on experience with AMOS Maintenance & Engineering software will be a distinct advantage.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM for customer relationship management, opportunity tracking, and stakeholder engagement will be an added advantage.
