A leading UAE retail furniture business is seeking an experienced Commercial & Operations Head.
The role drives operational excellence, sales performance, customer experience, and business growth across multiple retail locations.
Business Operations and Leadership
- Support the General Manager in overseeing end-to-end operations and execute strategies aligned with growth and profitability.
- Monitor performance, implement corrective actions, and coordinate retail, logistics, warehouse, and customer service functions.
- Lead and mentor store managers and department heads.
Sales and Commercial Management
- Drive revenue growth through sales strategies and market expansion.
- Analyze KPIs, customer trends, and market performance and optimize pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
- Build relationships with customers, developers, suppliers, and corporate clients and pursue retail, hospitality, and project sales opportunities.
Retail Store Operations
- Maintain high standards for visual merchandising, customer service, and operational excellence across stores.
- Monitor conversion rates, average transaction value, sales productivity, customer experience, and brand positioning.
Supply Chain and Inventory
- Oversee inventory planning, procurement, warehousing, and product delivery.
- Improve stock accuracy, turnover, supply chain efficiency, and cost-effective inventory management processes.
Financial Management
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Monitor operating expenses, ensure cost control, analyze financial and operational reports, and improve margins and profitability.
People and Compliance
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams and set performance goals and evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Eight to fifteen years of retail experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong furniture, home furnishings, or interior retail experience and proven UAE multi-store operations experience.
- Strong commercial acumen, revenue growth record, and knowledge of UAE retail markets and consumer trends.
- Excellent English communication skills; native English speaker status is an advantage.
- An MBA or relevant professional qualification is a plus.
