About the Role

- Provide strategic commercial and risk advice during all phases of the project lifecycle
- Develop and deliver effective financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance analysis
- Manage change control processes with a keen focus on commercial implications
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with internal company standards and external regulatory requirements
- Apply contractual mechanisms, prepare change quotations, and lead negotiations
- Participate in regular progress meetings, change control forums, and client engagements
- Contribute to risk registers and support assessment of risk allowances in financial reporting
- Collaborate with discipline leads and project teams to identify, document, and assess scope changes
- Manage earned value management processes, cost reconciliation, and estimate at completion (EAC) reporting
- Oversee supply chain contracts, vendor management, payment applications, and invoice processing
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that enhance profitability while maintaining strong client relationships
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional certification in accountancy, surveying, or law (such as ACCA, ACMA, CPA, MRICS, or equivalent) is highly advantageous
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in commercial, financial, or legal roles within a corporate or project based environment
- Proven experience managing commercial aspects of large value projects with contract values exceeding $1 million
- Strong understanding of risk management procedures and best practices
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with excellent business analysis, financial interpretation, and budget forecasting skills
- Knowledge of commercial and contract law, with experience in various contract forms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC, or similar)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong vendor and supplier management capabilities
- Excellent problem solving abilities with resilience, flexibility, and adaptability
- Proficiency with project management software, earned value management tools, and financial reporting systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

- We're looking for an experienced and detail oriented Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar.
- In this pivotal role, you will serve as a strategic bridge between operational requirements and key corporate functions.
- Your expertise in risk management, contract administration, and financial forecasting will be instrumental in ensuring our projects remain commercially focused and financially healthy.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic commercial and risk advice during all phases of the project lifecycle to assess performance and support project, business unit, and organizational leadership.
- Develop and deliver effective financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance analysis for assigned projects and portfolios.
- Manage change control processes with a keen focus on commercial implications; identify, assess, and capitalize on commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with internal company standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Apply contractual mechanisms, prepare change quotations, and lead negotiations to successful agreement with clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in regular progress meetings, change control forums, and client engagements to maintain transparency and alignment.
