As a
Commercial Business Analyst
, you will support in driving business growth and profitability through comprehensive analysis, market research, and strategic insights.
You will collaborate closely with various departments to evaluate commercial opportunities, optimise pricing strategies, and provide analytical and commercial support in managing contracts and preparing quotations, support negotiations, and build cost models.
You will also provide actionable recommendations to enhance our competitive position in the market and ensure the business performance meets established standards and that financial activities are completed promptly, including accurate payment verification and tracking.
In This Role You Will
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including procurement for new and renewal contracts, commercial risk assessment, supplier negotiations, review of commercial clauses, and maintaining a monitored contract register.
- Ensure accurate billing and revenue management by coordinating with Finance and business stakeholders, resolving billing queries, following up on overdue payments, and monitoring bad debts to support timely settlements.
- Provide analytical, commercial, and financial support for business cases, CAPEX planning, and key management decisions, including preparing cost models, quotations, benchmarking analyses, and KPI dashboards.
- Oversee invoice governance and financial controls, ensuring timely approval of service invoices, alignment with corporate policies, and proactive updates to business leads to prevent service disruptions.
- Support forecasting and budgeting processes by collaborating with Finance and FP&A to monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen financial discipline.
- Manage EFTA student contract processes, including fee and milestone validation, communication of payment procedures, assessment of graduation delays or dropouts on cost, and implementation of mitigation and compensation measures.
- Consolidate and analyse operational and performance data by producing monthly statistical reports (EFTA flying hours, fuel consumption, training metrics) and developing KPI dashboards and benchmarking insights for EFTA and EKAS to support strategic decision making.
Qualification
- To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Finance or Economics or Business.
- You must bring a minimum of 5+ years in Finance & Insurance, Management Accounting, Commercial Analysis or Financial Modelling.
- Hold Qualified Management Accountant (CMA or CIMA qualification).
- You must have expertise in commercial aspects related to business development, with a strong understanding of contracts and proven experience in interpreting contract clauses.
- You should possess experience in the finance and cost analysis function of a large multinational company, preferably an airline.
