About the Role
NMDC Dredging & Marine is looking for a CNC Machinist to create and modify CNC programs for 5-axis milling and turn-mill machining centers. The role involves programming using CAM software, setting up machines, interpreting engineering drawings, and performing quality checks.

Responsibilities
- Create and modify CNC programs for 5 axis milling and turn mill machining centers
- Program using CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, HyperMill, PowerMill, or Fusion 360
- Set up and operate CNC Turn Mill machines independently
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Perform machine setup, tool offsetting, and prove out of new programs
- Machine complex components to specified tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Conduct first piece inspection and in process quality checks
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime
- Optimize cycle times and improve machining efficiency
- Maintain production and inspection records
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
Requirements
- Ability to create and modify CNC programs for 5 axis milling and turn mill machining centers
- Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, HyperMill, PowerMill, or Fusion 360
- Ability to set up and operate CNC Turn Mill machines independently
- Skill in selecting appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Experience in performing machine setup, tool offsetting, and prove out of new programs
- Ability to machine complex components to specified tolerances and surface finish requirements
