About the Role
The role involves setting up and operating three-axis and five-axis production machines, lathes, milling equipment, turning equipment, and conventional lathes.
The operator will support machining production, quality control, documentation, maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Set up and manage CNC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, and turning jobs.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into production dimensions.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to improve results.
- Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
- Complete production, quality, controlled-document, and SFC records.
- Perform maintenance, coolant monitoring, cleaning, troubleshooting, and 5S housekeeping.
- Inspect finished products using in-process measurement and visual inspection.
- Monitor scrap levels and report excessive levels.
- Set up cutting tools using heat-shrink fitting and dynamic tool balancing.
Basic Qualifications
- Trade school accreditation or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least three years of CNC milling machine operator experience with milling and turning is required.
- Experience translating mechanical documents and engineering drawings is required.
- Housekeeping and 5S standards must be maintained in the area of responsibility.
- English proficiency is required for all roles unless otherwise stated.
Preferred Qualifications
- A certificate or diploma in Engineering is an advantage.
