The Cluster Manager – Business Banking is responsible for managing and scaling the business banking network across assigned branches. This leadership role involves developing strategies to achieve growth targets, optimizing operations and resources, and expanding the customer base through cost-effective and technology-driven solutions. The role also focuses on building strong relationships with key local dealers and partners, enhancing product penetration, and delivering high-quality customer service. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Operations, Credit, and BIU is essential to drive customer acquisition, servicing, and relationship deepening.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive business growth across branches by building a strong business banking network.
- Understand market dynamics and competitive landscape; provide feedback to product teams.
- Collaborate with a team of branch managers to acquire clients, deepen relationships, and deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
- Ensure pricing, processes, and policies align with organizational goals.
- Build networks to promote multi-product sales across locations.
- Share best practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities across clusters and headquarters.
- Conduct regular business reviews to ensure strategic execution.
- Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate customers.
- Lead manpower planning, recruitment, and training for both on-roll and off-roll employees.
- Develop and implement community development and livelihood advancement initiatives.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to branch personnel to enhance performance.
- Evaluate and implement new initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated product and service offerings.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Recommend enhancements to business processes and policies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Support digital transformation initiatives to improve customer experience and scalability.
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach senior team members to foster a culture of customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity.
- Create an environment focused on automation and digital enablement.
- Attract and retain top talent to support the bank’s rapid growth.
- Promote high levels of employee engagement, motivation, and satisfaction.
Education
Graduate in any discipline.
Postgraduate qualification is optional but preferred.
Experience
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in business banking or allied financial services.
