Role Summary and Impact

  • As businesses continue to be impacted by digitisation, the Client Leadership Director helps inform a transformation agenda and strategic vision for the client's entire business and oversees execution.
  • The role requires global technical and operational knowledge including strategic skills, global media channel strategy, account performance, client management, people management, and financial management.
  • Work closely with regional stakeholders across the client organization and WPP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build capabilities to set up regional planning, implementation and market excellence guidance out of the UAE.
  • Maintain deep understanding of client's business and broader industry sector.
  • Integrate AI global agentic workstreams and solutions locally.
  • Identify client needs and work with specialists to deliver in areas such as digital preparedness, competitive benchmarking, audience development, site analytics, objective setting, budget development, campaign prioritization, measurements for success, marketing ROI and partnership ecosystem.
  • Grow C suite relationships, scope of service and client satisfaction.
  • Own day to day and senior global client relationships and look for opportunities to broaden relationship beyond marketing.
  • Effectively lead network of local markets working on client's business, building strong culture and ensuring consistent excellence.
  • Quality control overall deliverables to client in conjunction with specialist teams.
  • Navigate conversations with clients to ensure initiatives/briefs align with business goals.
  • Foster innovative thinking with emphasis on content, digital, technology innovation, data, and commerce solutions.
  • Demonstrate understanding for client commercials including effective scoping, quarterly forecasting, and identifying new revenue growth opportunities.
  • Act as change agent within Mindshare by showcasing great work and driving transformation.

Skills and Experience

  • Deep understanding of assigned clients' industry sectors and business challenges.
  • Previous experience recruiting, managing and inspiring a client team.
  • Experience in creating cross media plans that deliver on client goals.
  • Solid understanding of how paid media channels (including performance based) work together.
  • Functions as primary point of contact for day to day campaign management and client requirements.
  • Understands budget planning and prioritization to ensure alignment with overall investment plan.
  • Independent with right skillset to coach junior team members in developing and implementing plans.
  • Refines ongoing reporting procedures and working practices.
  • Identifies new opportunities for clients proactively.
