We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Class Preparation Assistant – Floristry & Retail Operations to support our floristry training programs and the operation of The Ultimate Florist shop . This hands-on role combines floristry preparation, customer service, stock management and retail operations, offering the opportunity to work in a creative learning environment while engaging with customers, suppliers and industry professionals. The ideal candidate will have floristry industry knowledge, strong organisational skills and a passion for customer service and floral design.
The Class Preparation Assistant is responsible for the preparation and classroom set up of all materials and products required for the running of floristry classes, the ordering of flowers and stock requirements, providing customer service including constructing customer orders in The Ultimate Florist shop, monitoring and rotation of stock and payment of invoices.
You will not be required to hold a teaching qualification and are not required to teach or prepare lessons. You will not be required to mark assessments.
$58,323 – $78,538 salary package - includes base salary ($56,191 - $69,195), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

You have demonstrated experience working in the Floristry industry as a hands-on florist. You have a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to share your industry knowledge, commit to further learning opportunities and support our students.
Certificate III Floristry qualification or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
Sound knowledge of safe work practices.
Knowledge of relevant consumables and equipment for the floristry industry.
Knowledge of ordering processes for fresh flowers from wholesale suppliers.
Excellent communication skills.
Competent computer skills.
3 years of experience in the Floristry industry or related environments.
