About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for major Roads and Infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves supervising construction of bridges and underpasses, reviewing shop drawings, conducting field inspections, and ensuring compliance with RTA standards.

- Supervise and coordinate construction of bridges and underpasses, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
- Review and approve contractors' shop drawings, proposed materials, and construction methods
- Conduct regular field inspections to monitor work progress and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Prepare and review technical reports, including daily diaries, inspection reports, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules
- Oversee the work of inspectors and provide guidance on supervision of contractors' operations
- Review and analyze as built drawings in collaboration with inspectors and surveyors
- Monitor project conformance with contractors' schedules and propose solutions for any deviations
- Collaborate with senior engineering team to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, regulations, and RTA standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in supervising construction of roads, highways, bridges, and underpasses
- Previous experience working in Dubai, with familiarity of local construction practices and regulations
- In depth knowledge of bridge and underpass construction techniques and best practices
- Strong project management skills with ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with RTA standards and approval processes preferred
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
