Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on air cooled and water cooled chillers and HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, including sensors, wiring, refrigerant leaks, and pressure drops
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Test and program chiller control panels and digital display screens
- Clean condenser coils, check water flow switches, recover and recharge refrigerant
- Replace compressor oil, oil filters, EXVs, pressure transducers, temperature sensors, and other components
- Run system diagnostic tests after part replacement to verify normal operations
- Maintain logs of maintenance work and error codes
- Follow safety rules including lock out/tag out procedures
Requirements
- Technical diploma or ITI in HVAC/Mechanical or related field
- 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in chiller maintenance

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Chiller Technician role based in Doha, Qatar.
- The Chiller Technician will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on air cooled and water cooled chillers, associated HVAC systems, and related mechanical equipment.
- Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, monitoring system performance, adjusting controls, and ensuring optimal energy efficiency and equipment reliability.
- The Chiller Technician will support continuous improvement of facility operations and help maintain a comfortable and safe environment for building occupants.
Job Responsibilities
- Find and fix electrical faults, bad sensors, and wiring issues.
- Diagnose cooling problems, refrigerant leaks, and pressure drops.
- Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Test and program chiller control panels and digital display screens.
- Clean condenser coils and check water flow switches.
- Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant safely.
- Drain and replace compressor oil and change oil filters.
- Remove and replace faulty Electronic Expansion Valves (EXVs).
- Replace and calibrate pressure transducers and temperature sensors.
- Install new thermistors, flow switches, and safety controls.
- Replace worn parts like contactors, fuses, valves, and fans.
- Run system diagnostic tests after part replacement to verify normal operations.
Qualification & Experiences
- A technical diploma or ITI in HVAC/Mechanical or related field
- 3 to 5 years of hands on experience is mandatory.
