Core Accountabilities
- Own technical authority, responsibility, and accountability for system or system-element technical performance throughout its life cycle.
- Perform mission analysis, requirements definition, architecture definition, verification, and validation.
- Lead detailed aircraft and missile designs using advanced CAD software.
- Analyze aerodynamic performance and flight mechanics using CFD and simulation tools.
- Direct hands-on prototyping using 3D printing, CNC machining, and custom PCB design.
- Design defense systems with hardware and software integration using PX4 and MAVLink.
- Develop real-time C++ software and Qt/QML ground control station interfaces.
- Use ROS to integrate cameras, LiDAR, and other sensors for real-time flight decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- A master's degree or PhD in engineering is preferred.
- At least 18 years of relevant systems engineering experience in defense product development is required.
- Proficiency in missile design, including flight mechanics, stability, weight and balance, and structural design, is required.
- Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and CFD is required.
- Experience with system testing and validation is required.
- Experience applying MBSE and/or engineering specialty software is required.
