Responsibilities
- Develop deep technical expertise in epoxy resin and hardener systems
- Research and develop new epoxy hardener formulations and explore alternative chemistries
- Design, formulate, and optimize epoxy systems for paints and coatings
- Translate customer requirements into high performance formulations
- Supervise epoxy hardener manufacturing operations
- Lead and mentor production operators and technicians
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in process samples, and finished products
- Evaluate key product parameters such as pot life, gel time, color, amine value, EEW, viscosity, density, adhesion, and hardness
- Generate technical data sheets and product performance reports
- Collaborate with Sales team by providing technical support and customized epoxy solutions
Requirements
- Strong hands on experience in epoxy resins, hardeners, and coating formulations
- Expertise in formulation development, laboratory testing, and quality control
- Experience supporting manufacturing and scaling up new products

Job Overview
- We're Hiring: R&D Chemist – Epoxy Systems | Dubai, UAE
- We're looking for an experienced R&D Chemist to join our growing team and drive the development of next generation epoxy hardeners and coating solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead Innovation in Epoxy Chemistry: Develop deep technical expertise in epoxy resin and hardener systems.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments.
- Research and develop new epoxy hardener formulations and explore alternative chemistries for innovative applications.
- Formulation & Product Development: Design, formulate, and optimize epoxy systems, including epoxy resins, reactive diluents, and curing agents for paints and coatings.
- Translate customer requirements into high performance formulations.
- Maintain detailed formulation records while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Production & Process Excellence: Supervise epoxy hardener manufacturing operations.
- Lead and mentor production operators and technicians to achieve production, quality, and safety targets.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in process samples, and finished products.
- Evaluate key product parameters including Pot Life & Gel Time, Gardner Color, Amine Value, Epoxy Equivalent Weight (EEW), Free Epichlorohydrin (ECH), Viscosity & Density, Adhesion (Pull Off Strength), Shore D Hardness.
- Technical Support: Generate technical data sheets and product performance reports.
