What you will be doing
- Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus.
- Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
- Check the taste, temperature and visual appeal of food items prepared.
- Ensure that all safety, health, security and loss control policies and procedures and Government legislation are adhered to.
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback.
- Conduct regular quality checks on pastry products to uphold the hotel's standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and sanitation requirements.
Your experience and skills include
- Fantastic passion for presentation and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Minimum of 1 2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a 5 star hotel.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Well versed in all aspects of Food Hygiene, HACCP and ISO.
- Strong communication, organisational skills and grooming standards.
