Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Asian cuisine and wok station, ensuring smooth day to day operations
- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Execute wok cooking techniques including stir frying, sautéing, and sauce preparation with consistency
- Supervise, train, and support Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, and kitchen assistants assigned to the section
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, portion control, and timely service
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory control, and minimize food waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Work closely with Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop menus, improve recipes, and maintain operational excellence
- Ensure all equipment within the section is properly maintained and used safely
Requirements
- Proven experience as Chef de Partie or senior Demi Chef specializing in Asian cuisine and wok station
- Strong knowledge of Asian ingredients, cooking techniques, sauces, and flavor profiles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- PIC (Person in Charge) Certification is an advantage
- English language proficiency
