The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen (such as pasta, grill, or pizza) in an Italian restaurant.
The role involves preparing authentic Italian dishes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes such as pasta, risotto, sauces, pizza, and antipasti.
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., pasta station, pizza oven, grill).
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and plating.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
- Monitor stock levels and inform senior chefs for ordering requirements.
- Train and supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards as per food safety regulations.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
- Minimize wastage and control food costs.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in an Italian restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including sauces, pasta making, and pizza preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and passion for quality food.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is an advantage.
- Pay: AED4,000.00 per month
