Job Scope
Assist with kitchen operations, food cost control, food preparation, freshness, quality, ordering, delivery checks and stock control.
Independently manage an assigned kitchen shift and provide scheduling support when required.
Ensure dishes meet standards for taste, presentation, quality and guest satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute food production according to Sous Chef guidelines.
- Maintain food quality, portioning, presentation and taste standards.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards.
- Check ingredients and coordinate purchase and stock requirements.
- Assist with Commis rosters and support culinary promotions and activities.
- Control food costs, resolve operational issues and support smooth kitchen operations.
- Prepare Middle Eastern and international dishes.
- Monitor FIFO, stock and buffet replenishment.
- Follow fire prevention, hazard handling, first aid, kitchen safety and security practices.
- Conduct compliance inspections and submit daily operational reports through the CPR system.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotel, catering or high-volume culinary operations.
- At least 3 years of Middle East experience.
- Knowledge of Arabic cuisine.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays in a 24/7 airport environment.
- Flexibility to work at Plaza Premium Group operations within the UAE or internationally.
- Professionalism, teamwork and commitment to premium guest service.
