About the Role

Compensation

• Salary is AED 5,000 per month.
• A six-month probation period applies, with salary revision and further increments based on performance review.

Tax and Statutory Compliance

• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT return workings and coordinate filings after review and approval.
• Review transactions for errors, omissions, tax treatment issues, and Reverse Charge Mechanism implications.
• Prepare sales, purchases, and RCM reconciliations and review trial balances and supporting financial information.
• Assist with FTA queries, notices, assessments, reconsideration applications, penalty waiver applications, and TDRC applications.
• Maintain client registrations and records on the EmaraTax portal.
• Monitor deadlines, communicate penalty risks, and maintain working papers and compliance records.

Client Coordination

• Act as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients on routine tax and compliance matters.
• Respond to client queries, collect documents and clarifications, and follow up on pending requirements.
• Communicate deliverable status, pending items, and deadlines clearly to clients.
• Escalate significant technical, compliance, or client-related matters to the Engagement Manager.
• Build professional working relationships with assigned clients.

Accounting and Internal Coordination

• Review accounting records and financial data relevant to VAT and tax compliance.
• Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and analyze unusual transactions or potential tax issues.
• Coordinate with the Engagement Manager and internal team members on client assignments.
• Complete deliverables accurately and on time, communicate potential delays, and assist with tax, accounting, audit, and advisory assignments.
• Contribute to internal processes, templates, and compliance workflows.

Requirements

• Freshly qualified CA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is required.
• Articleship experience in taxation, audit, accounting, or compliance is preferred.
• Basic conceptual understanding of UAE VAT and strong accounting, taxation, and reconciliation fundamentals are required.
• Microsoft Excel, financial analysis, English communication, client handling, organization, and attention to detail are required.
• The candidate must manage multiple assignments and statutory deadlines and take ownership of assigned work.
• Responsible use of AI tools to improve efficiency, research, and productivity is required.
