Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair defective small engines on rental equipment
- Diagnose, service, and maintain QA rental equipment
- Diagnose and repair customer owned tools and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on both fleet and customer equipment
- Maintain and service small engine related equipment
- Load and unload customer rental equipment and explain operating instructions as required
- Maintain the yard and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner
- Support branch operations by performing additional duties as assigned
- Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure timely repairs and service delivery
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to create a supportive and efficient work environment
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands on experience as a Small Engines Technician or similar role
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills with 2 stroke and 4 stroke gas engines
- Experience with construction heaters, small electrical tools, forklifts, aerial lifts
- Experience with Stihl, Echo, Hilti, Husqvarna, Gorman Rupp, Tsurumi and Honda products
- Experience with Motorcycle, ATV/UTV, or Snowmobiles
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly up to 50lbs
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Ownership of personal tools is required
- Flexibility to support on call schedules
- Hydraulic system knowledge

Position Overview

- Pay: CAD 24.00–CAD 28.00 hourly depending on experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair defective small engines on rental equipment.
- Diagnose, service, and maintain QA rental equipment.
- Diagnose and repair customer owned tools and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on both fleet and customer equipment.
- Maintain and service small engine related equipment.

What We're Looking For
- Mechanical Experience: Strong troubleshooting and repair skills with 3+ years of hands on experience as a Small Engines Technician or similar role.
- Experience working on 2 stroke and 4 stroke gas engines, construction heaters, small electrical tools, forklifts, aerial lifts and Stihl, Echo, Hilti, Husqvarna, Gorman Rupp, Tsurumi and Honda products.
- Experience with Motorcycle, ATV/UTV, or Snowmobiles.
- Customer Service Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
