The role is Centralized Accounts Payable Supervisor within the hotel's finance operations.
The position supports accounts payable control, payment processing, reporting, reconciliations, and inventory-related finance activities.
Responsibilities
- Track accounts payable to support effective cash flow management.
- Collect, date-stamp, and file documents supporting authorized purchases and services.
- Match and process daily invoices against authorized documents and receiving records.
- Review and post petty cash vouchers for payment processing, then file paid vouchers.
- Prepare creditor ageing summaries for monthly reports.
- Review payments due and submit payment requests and disbursement schedules for approval.
- Prepare cheque payments and urgent payment cheques with supporting documentation.
- Prepare month-end accounts payable reports, monthly accruals, and provisions for unbilled services.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations, physical counts, and balance sheet schedules.
- Supervise, correct, and demonstrate assigned duties to required standards.
- Maintain files and reports for future reference.
- Assist with internal control procedures and supplier cost management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry is required.
- Experience in the luxury hotel segment is preferred.
- A service-focused approach and keen attention to detail are required.
- Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Opera, and Sun System or equivalent is required.
