The CDP – Bakery & Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality bakery and pastry items in accordance with company standards.
The role ensures consistency in taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation while maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, desserts, and related bakery products.
- Ensure all products are prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery and pastry section.
- Check stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
- Operate bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in developing new pastry and bakery items when required.
- Minimize wastage and control food costs.
- Follow company policies, food safety regulations, and HACCP standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth daily operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bakery & Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie.
- Knowledge of bakery production, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary certification or relevant qualification is preferred.
