About the Role
Seeking an experienced CCTV Draftsman with strong knowledge of Qatar Ministry of Interior requirements and procedures for CCTV and security surveillance projects.
The role covers CCTV layouts, shop drawings, schematic diagrams, authority submissions, and as-built documentation.
The position requires 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar, across MOI-related projects from design and submission through approval and as-built documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare CCTV layouts, shop drawings, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and cable routing drawings.
- Prepare and revise MOI or SSD submission drawings and technical documentation.
- Verify camera positioning, coverage, field of view, and surveillance areas.
- Document cameras, NVRs, switches, racks, control rooms, cabling, containment, and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, electrical, MEP, ICT, and other project disciplines.
- Review specifications, BOQs, consultant drawings, and site requirements before drafting.
- Incorporate authority, consultant, client, and engineer comments into revised submissions.
- Conduct site visits and measurements when needed to verify site conditions.
- Prepare as-built drawings and maintain registers, revisions, submissions, and technical records.
- Support project execution, testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a CCTV or ELV Draftsman.
- Qatar experience with MOI CCTV projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of MOI procedures, submissions, revisions, and approval processes.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Revit or BIM experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of IP CCTV architecture, including cameras, NVRs, storage, switches, racks, and structured cabling.
- Experience coordinating drawings across MEP, architectural, electrical, and ICT disciplines.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
