Role Overview
The Carpenter will perform installation, repair, and maintenance work across residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
The role includes woodwork, related hardware, tool use, quality control, safety, and coordination with other trades.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain doors, windows, cabinets, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and furniture.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and related materials.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Repair or replace damaged doors, cabinets, wooden fixtures, locks, hinges, door closers, and other hardware.
- Complete work to project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete assignments on time.
- Inspect completed work and perform adjustments or finishing.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow site safety procedures and UAE health and safety requirements.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role is required.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience is required, with UAE or GCC experience preferred.
- Construction, building maintenance, or facilities management experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of carpentry materials, installation methods, and finishing techniques is required.
- Ability to read basic drawings and understand measurements accurately is required.
- Skill with carpentry hand tools and power tools is required.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual work and work at heights when required are required.
- Attention to detail, quality workmanship, independent work, teamwork, and basic English communication are required.
