Captain Waiter role supporting operations at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi.
The position leads front-of-house service, coordinates with the kitchen, and supports memorable guest dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate table assignments.
- Oversee service accuracy, timing, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve complaints and coordinate communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Train staff on service protocols, menu knowledge, and customer interactions.
- Monitor health, safety, and sanitation compliance.
- Manage reservations and special requests.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including station setup and inventory checks.
- Provide team feedback and contribute to staff development.
Required qualifications
- At least three years of progressive restaurant service management experience.
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, health codes, and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other flexible hours as required.
Preferred qualifications
- Multilingual abilities are preferred.
- Experience training and mentoring hospitality staff is preferred.
- Familiarity with wine service and beverage knowledge is advantageous.
- Strong professional demeanor, organization, and attention to detail are expected.
