Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with management and daily operation of the hotel laundry department.
• Supervise laundry team members and coordinate workflow and productivity.
• Oversee washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and F&B linen.
• Ensure approved procedures, fabric-care instructions, hygiene requirements, and quality standards are followed.
• Inspect processed linen and uniforms and maintain laundry-area cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation.
• Monitor inventory, stocktaking, guest laundry requests, and linen requirements with other departments.
• Monitor equipment, report issues, assist with preventive maintenance, and coordinate with Engineering.
• Control chemicals and supplies, minimize waste, and support cost-control initiatives.
• Prepare rosters, allocate tasks, monitor attendance and performance, and train employees.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, support audits and projects, and cover the department when the Laundry Manager is absent.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of laundry experience; experience in a 5-star or luxury hospitality environment is preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience in a hotel laundry operation.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry operations, linen handling, fabric care, and laundry chemicals.
• Good understanding of hygiene, health and safety, and quality-control procedures.
• Experience with industrial laundry equipment and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, coaching, and team-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.
