Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items.
• Operate washing, drying, ironing, pressing, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, and quality before and after washing.
• Apply fabric-appropriate washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing, and finishing techniques.
• Fold, press, package, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items accurately within the required turnaround time.
• Separate clean and soiled linen to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry and storage areas.
• Follow hotel health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous hotel laundry or commercial laundry experience is preferred.
• Four- or five-star hotel experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal, washing, drying, ironing, and pressing.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move laundry bags or linen.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and quality standards.
• Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
