(CAN) Asset Protection Associate (Valid Security License Required)

Position Summary

Store Security and Loss Prevention

• Conduct daily patrols of the store to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Verify that doors, showcases, and security features are functioning properly and take action as required.

Investigations and Case Support

• Investigate incidents involving financial and physical shrink and communicate findings to store leadership.
• Conduct or support investigations involving internal theft, external theft, organized retail crime, and assigned Walmart Canada Global Ethics cases.
• Escalate internal investigation information to the Market Loss Prevention Manager according to company guidelines.

Emergency Response and Enforcement

• Support store evacuation and emergency procedures during fires and other emergencies.
• Carry out external apprehensions when required, in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
• Participate in store task team responsibilities as required to support overall operations.

Communication and Reporting

• Gather and communicate information from multiple sources, clearly explaining issues and findings to leadership and other stakeholders.
• Complete additional responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs and asset protection priorities.

Availability and Work Schedule

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• The role may involve overnight hours and a fast-paced workload with high task volume.

Physical Demands

• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing tasks.
• Bend and lift inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

• The minimum rate of pay starts at $19.35 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hold a valid Security Guard License.
