The CAD Designer will prepare accurate and detailed 2D CAD drawings for road, traffic, and infrastructure projects.
The position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare road and traffic engineering drawings using AutoCAD or relevant CAD software.
- Develop road layouts, alignments, profiles, sections, junctions, road markings, traffic arrangements, signage, and road furniture drawings.
- Prepare drainage and associated infrastructure drawings from engineering designs, specifications, survey information, and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, authority requirements, and CAD standards.
- Coordinate design changes with civil, road, and traffic engineers and other disciplines.
- Review drawings for accuracy and revise them based on engineering, client, and authority comments.
- Maintain revisions, files, layers, references, and document control.
- Assist with submissions, approvals, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
Required skills and experience
- At least three years of hands-on road and traffic engineering CAD drafting or design experience is required.
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency is required.
- Knowledge of road geometry, profiles, sections, junction layouts, CAD standards, and revision procedures is required.
- Experience with road and infrastructure engineering drawings is required.
- The candidate must understand engineering drawings, design information, and technical specifications.
- Independent working, deadline management, coordination, and communication skills are required.
Preferred experience and education
- UAE experience, local authority or client submissions, UAE road design standards, and relevant Abu Dhabi project experience are preferred.
- A diploma, ITI, or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, CAD, or a related discipline is preferred.
