Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, user needs, and system behaviours
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Partner closely with Product Owners and engineering teams to refine and prioritise the product backlog
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and discovery sessions
- Support end to end product delivery, from concept through to release
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, customer needs, and technical solutions
- Assist with process mapping, data analysis, and workflow optimisation
- Collaborate with UX designers to ensure user centric design outcomes
- Support validation activities including user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution verification
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies, and proactively drive resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product practices, documentation, and delivery processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a software or technology delivery environment
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
- Experience working with Agile product teams and translating business needs into backlog items
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across technical and non technical audiences
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving capability
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills
- Experience working on complex software systems or platforms
- Willingness to work onsite in Brisbane as part of a collocated team

The Opportunity
- We are seeking two experienced Business Analysts to join the Cat® MineStar™ team in Brisbane. This role is office based, supporting a co located product development team to deliver high quality, user centric software solutions for global mining customers.
Key Responsibilities

- Experience supporting distributed or globally deployed products
