Job Purpose
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of biomedical equipment through maintenance, repairs, user training, and regulatory compliance.
Work within a healthcare facility and coordinate with biomedical engineering management and department members.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure the working condition of medical equipment within the assigned specialty domain and report urgent issues.
- Perform or supervise corrective maintenance and confirm completion through signed service reports and system updates.
- Perform or supervise scheduled preventive maintenance according to manufacturer checklists.
- Install and dismantle medical equipment after obtaining required permits and complete acceptance and scrapping documentation.
- Control and follow up daily work requests distributed to biomedical technicians.
- Assist Supply Chain in evaluating medical equipment spare-parts offers.
- Verify environmental and technical specifications for new and existing medical equipment on site.
- Report monthly on preventive maintenance plan execution status.
- Respond to urgent incidents and take immediate action with biomedical engineering management.
- Order missing equipment, spare parts, and product catalogues and keep them organized.
- Control and deliver required training for healthcare facility equipment users.
- Observe and supervise biomedical workshop activities.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in medical equipment service and maintenance in a hospital or medical equipment services provider company.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; Arabic is preferred.
- Valid license to practice as a Biomedical Engineer issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
