BIM Modeler - Steel Structures

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain expert drafting and modeling capability using software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, Diroots, and Dynamo.
• Maintain advanced product and application knowledge for modular support, direct fastening, firestop, cable tray, and ladder systems.
• Provide models, drawings, bills of materials, installation manuals, specifications, and inspection reports.
• Respond to technical RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and convey customer and project requirements.
• Estimate and schedule modeling and drafting efforts and follow PMO workflows and guidelines.
• Travel to project sites or customer offices for meetings, training, or engineering services.

Project and Teamwork

• Provide complete modeling and documentation packages for low- to high-complexity Hilti and Oglaend applications.
• Support project managers and lead engineers with model-quality assessments and estimates for modeling services.
• Advise application and lead engineers or project managers on product selection and solution options.
• Identify applications that exceed technical design limits and advise on product selections.
• Collaborate with and lead internal and external CAD designers and BIM modelers.
• Perform clash detection, resolve discipline clashes where possible, and report further clashes to application or lead engineers.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Communicate with Hilti and Oglaend sales teams, engineering teams, customers, and project stakeholders about technical requirements and solution options.
• Support project management, engineering, sales, business development, logistics, production, and customer departments with relevant project and product information.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company databases.

Development and Working Relationships

• Develop PMO team members’ drafting and modeling competence through documents, training, and daily coaching.
• Optimize and automate modeling activities and develop PMO processes, workflows, services, and solutions.
• Build working relationships with PMO colleagues and regional and global Hilti and Oglaend counterparts.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering is required.
• Structural engineering, civil engineering, or architecture specialization is preferred.
• The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Knowledge

• Advanced product knowledge includes modular support, direct fastening, firestop, cable tray, and ladder systems.
• Modeling may use Hilti PROFIS suites, Oglaend solutions, Autodesk products, and other listed project software.
• The role requires knowledge of energy, industry, and building construction standards and guidelines.

Location and Travel

• The listed location is Gurugram, Haryana, India.
• Travel to project sites or customer offices is part of the role.
