Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator with a strong background in managing engineering and design systems to join our established team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- In this senior coordinating role, you will lead and optimise Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across our construction and infrastructure projects.
- You will serve as a strategic liaison between design, engineering, and construction teams, driving seamless collaboration and efficient project delivery through proven BIM strategies and industry best practices.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows tailored to project requirements and organisational objectives
- Manage BIM models across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and design system requirements
- Conduct clash detection and resolution using advanced BIM software, systematically identifying and documenting conflicts between building systems
- Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM documentation, including model standards, technical guidelines, and system specifications
- Collaborate strategically with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective BIM utilisation and integration throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead quality assurance and model validation processes to ensure data integrity and adherence to established BIM standards
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members on BIM software, tools, and industry best practices
- Optimise BIM processes and engineering workflows to enhance efficiency, minimise rework, and improve project outcomes
- Coordinate and facilitate BIM meetings, reviews, and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging BIM technologies, industry trends, and innovations in the construction sector
- Prepare detailed analytical reports on BIM performance, model coordination, and project progress for stakeholder communication
- Lead project planning and execution for new BIM initiatives and digital transformation efforts aligned with organisational strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a design or engineering discipline
- 7+ years of professional experience in BIM coordination, modeling, or related construction/engineering roles
- Demonstrated experience in managing engineering and design systems across multidisciplinary projects
- Advanced proficiency in BIM software platforms (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent)
- Strong expertise in 3D modeling, visualization, and clash detection methodologies
- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and digital design tools
- Demonstrated experience with construction documentation and building information standards
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in developing and implementing BIM standards, protocols, and quality assurance procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in infrastructure or construction projects, preferably in the Middle Eastern market
- Ability to create clear, concise technical documentation and comprehensive BIM guidelines
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions
- Flexible approach to work with willingness to adapt to evolving project needs and organisational priorities
- BIM certification (Autodesk Certified Associate, Revit Certified Professional, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with cloud-based BIM collaboration platforms and project management tools preferred
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia preferred
