Benefit Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee global benefit program administration and governance.
• Develop benefit strategies and lead annual insurance renewals and negotiations.
• Manage relationships with insurers, brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators.
• Handle complex and sensitive employee benefit cases and escalations.
• Analyze utilization, claims, cost trends, demographics, and financial performance.
• Conduct benchmarking, market reviews, tenders, benefit evaluations, and vendor selection.
• Design and enhance benefit schemes for diverse workforce populations.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, insurance regulations, and governance requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, Occupational Health, Procurement, and People Leadership.
• Advise management and stakeholders on benefits, market trends, and regulatory developments.
• Lead employee communications and support mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and mobility initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of relevant experience in employee benefits, insurance, rewards, human resources, or benefits consulting.
• Relevant bachelor's degree.
• Strong knowledge of global employee benefits, including medical, life, disability, and wellbeing programs.
• Experience managing insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, and external consultants.
• Experience with benefits design, benchmarking, market reviews, vendor negotiations, and strategic benefits management.
• Strong analytical and financial skills involving claims, utilization, cost trends, and pricing.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Understanding of multinational regulatory environments and benefit governance.
• Flexibility and adaptability in evolving business and change environments.
