Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of brand promise and Rosewood Hotels Group Culture and Brand Standard
- Monitor beverage cost to ensure it is in line with budget and take action for variations
- Ensure correct stock levels for all areas, including front and back of house
- Manage all areas of business and T&C administration, including associate reviews and stocktaking
- Monitor actual and projected sales daily, review meal period covers and average check
- Manage incentive programs for upselling and marketing promotions
- Establish excellent rapport with guests and handle enquiries and complaints
- Mentor associates and monitor their development on the floor
- Prepare weekly schedules according to T&C directives and workforce forecasts
- Ensure all bar closing tasks are completed before the bar team leaves
Requirements
- Full working knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages
- Experience in bar operations and management in a luxury hotel environment
- Proficiency in Micros, Open Table, Knowcross or similar systems
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Ability to manage beverage cost, stock levels, and financial reporting
- Experience in supervising and training associates

Your Role

- Spend time in public areas observing associate guest interaction and talking with guests.
Guest Satisfaction
- Ensure the delivery of brand promise, demonstrating and reinforcing Rosewood Hotels Group Culture and Brand Standard.
- Ensure associates provide excellent service to associates in other divisions as appropriate.
- Spend time in public areas observing associate guest interaction and talking with guests, work through Department Heads to coach associates in guest service skills as necessary.
- Ensure that all guest and associate complaints are resolved in a quick and efficient manner.
- Maintain positive guest and associate interactions with good working relationships.
- Implement agreed upon beverage policy and procedures throughout the property.
Finance / Administration
- Monitor the Beverage Cost to ensure it is in line with budget, prepare to take action for any variations.
- Ensure the selling price for any item sold is priced using the guidance of the F&B controller and its affiliated system in place, according to corporate office.
- Ensure that the bar is running efficiently, including the correct stock levels for all areas, including the front and back of the house.
- Communicate on the performance of the business in an ongoing fashion, including the successes, concerns, and any issues or requirements for support.
- Manage all areas of business and T&C administration as required as assigned to you by the DOFB/ADOFB/Beverage Manager, ensuring all Rosewood policies are adhered to and upheld, including, but not restricted to; Associate reviews, return to work forms, holiday forms, stocktaking, disciplinary paperwo
- To ensure that all departments within your control are operating to appropriate manpower/productivity ratios as agreed with the DOFB/ADOFB/Beverage Manager.
- Monitor actual and projected sales on a daily basis. Review meal period covers, room capture ratios and average check to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded. Identifies and addresses opportunities as needed.
- Manage incentive programs for upselling and marketing promotions.
Marketing
- Fully operate within the Marketing & Communications parameters and fully support any marketing campaign set up to promote the bar.
Operations
- To have a full working knowledge of the bar floor plan / layout and all F&B offers.
- To have a full knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
- To have a full knowledge of bar OS&E and drinks garnishes.
- To have a full knowledge of the menu, preparation methods, presentations, items characteristics and prices.
- Ensure that you know the daily occupancy rate of the hotel, the number of arrivals and departures, SAGs guests.
- Be familiar with all the services/characteristics and sites of interest/activities in the neighborhood, current or upcoming events in Doha (festivals, cultural events) to answer precisely to guest requests.
- Micros, Open Table, Knowcross & all other systems as required.
- Establish excellent rapport with guests in a professional manner.
- Ensure that all associates have a complete understanding of and adhere to associate rules and regulations.
- Exercise responsible managerial behavior at all times, and positively represent the management team and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
- Understand and strictly adhere to Rules and Regulations established in the hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
