Responsibilities
- Align IT and business strategy to ensure technology enables business objectives
- Lead Payment Platforms Portfolio to ensure timely completion of projects within budget
- Manage end to end UAE domestic payment platforms including vendor coordination and regulator liaison
- Provide support, guidance, and motivation to team members
- Review team performance and deliverables against KPIs
- Coach, train, and develop team skills
- Meet with stakeholders to discuss projects and provide recommendations
- Provide regular portfolio status reports to management
- Ensure tasks are executed within approved policies, procedures, and SLA
- Provide audit input and close audit observations
- Act as technical escalation point during go lives and production incidents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT or Business
- 10+ years in Information Technology
- Hands on experience implementing payments applications in banking
- Strong knowledge of CBUAE payment landscape, MX message formats, and clearing mechanisms
- Experience with microservices, API gateways, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and DevOps methodologies

Role Overview
- Aligning IT and Business strategy to ensure that Technology is seen as an enabler to fulfill Business Objectives.
- To lead Payment Platforms Portfolio in order to ensure timely completion of Projects Initiatives / Tasks within approved budget in order to meet strategic Technology Road Map.
- Responsible for end to end management of UAE domestic payment platforms, including vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, regulator liaison, and timely implementation of changes, with secondary responsibility of managing associated payments platforms as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide adequate support, guidance & motivation to the team members in order to ensure the achievement of assigned projects
- Review team performance and deliverables in line with the approved KPI’s to ensure meeting desired objectives.
- Coach, train and develop team skills by identifying training needs and assigning appropriate learning platform to the team.
- To meet with stakeholders to discuss subject related to the projects/CR and provide them with necessary suggestions & recommendations.
- To review and provide regular Portfolio status reports in order to update the management regarding status of current project initiatives and/or on the tasks assigned.
- Ensure all assigned tasks and projects are executed within the approved policies, procedures and SLA of the department
- Responsible for providing audit input requirements, close all assigned audit observations and provide closing evidence related to your area to IT QA team or Audit team in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe and DevOps methodologies.
- Act as the technical escalation point during go lives and production incidents; deep dive into application, database, and infra layers to resolve issues.
- All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager.
Education
- Min bachelor’s degree in IT / Business
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Work Experience
- Min 10+ years in Information Technology
- Must have hands on experience in implementing payments applications in a banking environment
- Strong knowledge on handling CBUAE payment landscape including MX message formats and clearing mechanisms
- Experience with microservices architectures, API gateways, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), OpenShift, Kafka
- Guide engineering teams in applying best practices in Java, API, microservices, and database optimization.
