Automation QA Playwright Manager

The Opportunity

Core Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering initiatives that enhance software development and testing processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to define automation strategy, build reusable frameworks, mentor teams, and drive AI-enabled quality practices.
• Cover requirements analysis, test design, automated test generation, execution, defect analysis, regression analysis, and reporting across the STLC.
• Implement software solutions, identify and resolve defects, and optimize performance and user experience.
• Guide quality assurance project planning and execution and maintain software quality standards.

Leadership and Delivery

• Collaborate with leadership to validate project timelines and deliverables.
• Mentor team members and encourage professional growth.
• Analyze system components and their interactions to improve functionality.
• Address conflicts and hold critical stakeholder conversations to maintain project alignment.

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles, including technical leadership or team management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Playwright MCP, or similar modern automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language from TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Java, or Go.
• Experience designing and maintaining UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of STLC, modern quality engineering, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience leading automation initiatives, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering best practices.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience testing LLM-powered applications, AI agents, copilots, or RAG-based solutions.
• Experience with autonomous testing agents, AI-driven testing workflows, or agentic software delivery.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Remote Agents, or Claude Code.
• Familiarity with AI quality assessment frameworks such as Azure AI Evaluations, DeepEval, LangSmith, or OpenAI Evals.
• Knowledge of specification-driven development, AI-powered quality engineering, and human-in-the-loop governance.
• Experience with Azure, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and cloud-native application development.

Technical Skills

• Playwright, Playwright MCP, Python, and an additional programming language.
• UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation framework design and maintenance.
• Software Testing Life Cycle, quality engineering, CI/CD, DevOps, and AI-enabled testing.
