Job Summary
The Auto Painter is responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, mixing paint, and applying paint finishes to vehicles and vehicle parts.
The role ensures high-quality painting work while maintaining safety and workshop standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve the required finish.
- Apply paint coatings using spray guns and painting equipment.
- Perform touch-up painting and refinishing works.
- Ensure smooth, even, and defect-free paint finishes.
- Polish and buff painted surfaces after completion.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain spray guns, tools, and painting equipment properly.
- Follow safety procedures while handling paints, thinners, and chemicals.
- Coordinate with denters and mechanics to complete repair works on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the paint area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum **3–5 years of experience** as an Auto Painter in GCC garage or workshop.
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and paint systems.
- Experience in spray painting, color mixing, and surface preparation.
- Ability to use painting tools and equipment efficiently.
- Good understanding of safety procedures and PPE usage.
- Physically fit and able to work in workshop conditions.
