The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial operations across real estate, facility management, and hospitality divisions.
The role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, reporting, budgeting, and coordination with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and company financial policies.
- Manage lease accounting, rental income tracking, and tenant accounts.
- Monitor property-related expenses and service charges.
- Prepare statements for property owners and tenants.
- Handle security deposits and lease agreements financials.
- Track maintenance contracts, service agreements, and vendor payments.
- Monitor operational expenses for FM projects/sites.
- Allocate costs to respective projects and prepare cost reports.
- Support budgeting and cost control for FM operations.
- Reconcile daily revenue reports (rooms, F&B, services).
- Monitor POS transactions and cash collections.
- Handle inventory accounting (food, beverages, supplies).
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost tracking.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare VAT reports and ensure tax compliance (if applicable).
- Assist in audits and provide required documentation.
- Generate financial reports for management decision-making.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate, FM, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
