About the Role
PwC Middle East is seeking an experienced External Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for banking clients in Riyadh. You will manage a portfolio of iconic clients, design audit strategies, and mentor team members while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, handling day to day client liaison and technical issues
- Develop business development activities to identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Design audit strategy and manage audit execution in alignment with engagement leader guidance
- Advise clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments
- Manage client relations with senior management, including delivering presentations to board of directors and audit committees
- Ensure compliance with risk, quality and independence matters
- Coach, mentor and develop team members
- Encourage involvement in digital initiatives and use of audit transformation technologies
- Participate in recruitment process for interviewing and selecting candidates
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 6 8 years of professional experience in external financial audit in a Big 4 firm
- Completed recognized professional qualification (ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA)
- Recent experience auditing banking clients
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus
- Strong project management skills and experience managing an audit from planning to completion
- Knowledge of Audit technologies and Data Analytics tools is a plus

How You’ll Contribute
- Manage a portfolio of clients, responsible for day to day client liaison and technical issues management.

- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to team's technical acumen.
- Assist in managing and delivering large projects, ensuring key deadlines are met.
- Design audit strategy and manage audit execution in alignment with engagement leader guidance.

- Manage client relations with senior management, including delivering presentations to board of directors and audit committees.
- Ensure adherence to compliance with risk, quality and independence matters.
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members while caring about their well being.
- Encourage involvement in digital initiatives and use of audit transformation technologies.
- Participate in recruitment process for interviewing and selecting candidates.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in accounting, finance or other related academic major.
- Minimum of 6 8 years of professional experience in external financial audit in one of the Big 4.
- Completed recognized professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA.
- Recent experience in auditing Banking clients is a must.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus.
- Applying ISAs on external audit of financial services with profound IFRS knowledge relevant to FS practice (IFRS9, IFRS17) and financial services regulations.
- Strong project management skills and experience managing an audit from planning to completion.
- Confidence in challenging yourself and others to complete high quality testing and documentation.
- Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships across all levels.
- Driving innovative thinking and supports others through change and uncertainty.
