- Take part in administrative functions such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures
Requirements
- MD, MBBS, MBChB and completion of specialty qualification as per Recognized Specialty Certificate table
- For Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries: no additional experience required post board certification
- For Tier 3 countries: not less than 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute
- UAE nationals: not less than one year experience post qualification in the specialty field

Job Summary
- This is a physician position responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Integrated Hospital Care Institute – Emergency Medicine specialty at CCAD.
- Under supervision and guidance of a Consultant physician, this position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Emergency Medicine specialty.
- Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care.
- Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition.
- Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information.
- Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient.
- Provides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions.
- Evaluates patient and records applicable notes for treatment and referral.
- Liaises with other medical and non medical staff to ensure quality patient treatment.
- Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate.
- Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner.
- Takes part in administrative functions such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures.
- Provides hospital on call in patient coverage as deemed necessary.
Experience Requirements
- For Associate Staff (Specialist) from Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries: no additional experience required post board certification.
- For Associate Staff (Specialist) from Tier 3: not less than 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute.
- UAE nationals: not less than one year experience post qualification in the specialty field.
Education Requirements
- MD, MBBS, MBChB and completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table listed in Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements 2024.
