About the Role
Johnson Controls seeks an Associate Project Manager to lead fire installation projects in Delta, BC. You will manage project scope, costs, resources, and risks while bridging engineering consultants and field installation teams.

Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, costs, resources, and risks to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Act as primary on site leader for execution teams, developing Project Execution Plan including WBS, schedule, and staffing
- Evaluate contractual scope and pursue change orders; perform cost estimates and negotiate settlements
- Manage project accounts payable, billing, and collections to maintain positive cash flow
- Review and interpret contract terms to ensure work meets customer satisfaction and JCI standards
- Analyze financial reports and project schedules to proactively address issues
- Manage risks and establish recovery plans; resolve disputes with minimal escalation
- Prepare RFPs, negotiate, and issue subcontracts
- Ensure project document controls comply with contract and JCI standards
- Oversee construction for compliance with specifications, local codes, and installation techniques
- Manage selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of project materials
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors
Requirements
- Project management and direct field experience in construction, utility, transportation, or telecom industries preferred
- Degree in Engineering or diploma in Building Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Understanding of architectural design, engineering practices, construction documentation, and applicable municipal regulations
- Ability to communicate technical material effectively to both technical and non technical audiences
- Willingness to travel based on project assignments and business needs
- Experience with MS Project, MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment
- Valid driver's license for British Columbia with satisfactory driving record

What You Will Do
- Under general direction of Installation/Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager, responsible for profitable execution of Fire Installation projects
- Bridge gap between engineering consultants, technical design, and field installation
- Work with Sales and Operations Leadership to support sales activities early in project development
- Provide direction to project execution teams including Engineers, Designers, Technicians, etc.
- Follow consistent project management procedures while balancing customer satisfaction and financial results

- CAD 35 CAD 48 per hour
