About the Job

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director Design to join Jumeirah Group & Corporate.
  • The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Design Director to develop and execute design strategies that align with Jumeirah's brand vision, standards, and long term objectives across new developments, renovations, refurbishments, and PIP projects.
  • Lead design coordination for assigned hotel projects through all development stages, translating design vision into execution while ensuring alignment with brand standards, guest experience, operational requirements, and project timelines.
  • Oversee the review and coordination of architectural, interior design, landscape, lighting, signage, FF&E, finishes, materials, and space planning, working closely with external consultants to maintain design quality and consistency.
  • Prepare and manage design documentation, including design briefs, scopes of work, presentations, and project deliverables, while monitoring design risks, budgets, and progress, and escalating issues with recommended solutions.
  • Conduct site inspections, mock up reviews, and construction follow ups to ensure design integrity, quality standards, and successful implementation throughout project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, designers, artists, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver practical, innovative, and operationally effective design solutions while supporting the continuous evolution of Jumeirah's brand guidelines.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required; a Master's degree in Architecture and/or an MBA is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong expertise in space planning, layout development, and optimizing guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving, critical thinking, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, track milestones, and maintain high design quality standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a solid understanding of luxury hospitality brand standards.
